What to Expect
Each student is given their own personal Dashboard upon enrollment. This is where you will access any course(s) you are enrolled in, as well as manage your user profile, achievements, certificates, order histories, and view course completion.
The course material is a Micro-Learning styled approach to teaching.
Each lesson is broken into two components:
- A short on-screen video
- A brief quiz over the specific topics reviewed in that lesson’s video.
We intentionally structure our courses this way because we believe that providing information in relatively short bursts of focused content promotes retention rates and increases comprehension.
On average, video lessons are around 5 minutes. A few lessons can reach up to 15 mins for some of the more condensed content, and others are a little as 1 minute in length.
After each video lesson is completed, the student will be given the option to either rewatch the video as many times as they would like, or they can proceed to the quiz.
Immediately following each lesson, you will be prompted to take a brief quiz, usually consisting of about 5 questions. The quizzes are times, however you will have multiple attempts to achieve a passing grade.
Before a student is allowed to advance to the next lesson, a passing grade of 80% must have been acquired on the previous quiz.
The video lesson can be rewatched in between each quiz attempt, if the student would like to watch it again.
Each lesson is carefully prepared and instructed by First Sleep School’s Owner, Larry Brewer.
Larry is a Registered Sleep Technologist with over 15 years of experience.
He focuses on providing a clear understanding of the content through a relational styled teaching approach. He appreciates the value of providing real-life examples to explain even the most complex content.
